Frequently Asked Questions

Before you call or email, you might find your answers here.

Is the civilian version an automatic machine gun?
NO! This is a Title-1, semi-automatic rifle. And legal in most states. Legality in some states (such as CA and New Jersey) vary widely. Check with local authorities in your area for legality issues. For a limited time, we are offering CALIFORNIA-LEGAL versions. CLICK HERE for info and to BEAT THE BAN.
Can I use my registered sear?
We use registered Flemming-style sears and registered H&K packs (on ATF Form 2 in most cases but also transferables) in our line of law enforcement and military weapons.

Many clients purchasing our machine guns for their rental ranges use these registered sears. Since our system is built around the H&K trigger packs, our semi-auto firearms are essentially H&K Host guns. But you will have to get your own H&K specialist to do the typical H&K host-gun conversion that is required since the U.S. Machine Gun Armory does not get involved in the civilian Class 3 firearms market.

For Domestic law enforcement agencies and qualified SOTs, however, we ship fully configured select-fire and full-auto firearms with 3 and 4 position trigger housings. Check with our Law Enforcement team (contact us) and the BATFE for more information.

Are your guns "Short Barreled Rifles" thus necessitating special ATF NFA forms and transfers?
NO! We do NOT ship our guns with barrels of length less than 16 inches. For our M249 PARA barrels we pin and tack weld in place a special barrel extender that can optionally be configured to allow the operator to install threaded suppressors. CHECK HERE FOR THOSE PRODUCTS.

If you are interested in the statutes, they are clear and can be found on the ATF site located HERE.

Is the belted ammunition readily available?
Yes, it is widely available today, especially online.
Do you use M249 Qucik-change barrels?
Yes, and they are widely available today, especially online.
Do M249 and MK46 Accessories fit your guns?
Yes, barrels, top covers, butt stocks, are all MILSPEC. The one exception, of course, is that our trigger packs are of a H&K G3 style and the internal operating system of the closed-bolt gun is quite dirrerent from the Open-Bolt military guns, so internal operating parts are different.
